It's pretty cool

You've got a quality song here. The bass could be a little grittier in my opinion, but that's just cause I like things over the top. Maybe adding some more distortion to it AFTER the filter could make it more crunchy, but that might also not be what you're looking for at all, so it's not really a criticism.

Mich responds:

You're probably right about that. I noticed the bass got less powerful when I was working towards something more .. "me". It's not really as you explained in your thread, but I like it nonetheless.

In fact, I'm probably going to make a more Electro-house song out of this ;)

Thanks for the review and the vote!

I like it, but...

This is a really well done song, but it's not really that electro-ish. If you want a more electro sound, use distortion after the filters on your effect bus, and drop the reverb. Big and epic isn't really a strong point of electro, heh. Also, extreme sidechaining and lots of compression are usually signatures of electro.

Still, the song is made well, and I like the whole spastic, over the top feel you got going on. Kudos.

Like I said in the forum, the electro part is the background, most of which you can't hear through the song.

Tanx for the review!

Holy Shit...

One of the best grooves I've heard in any song, ever. Damn.

Only lost a point cause it's short, other than that, damn near perfect.

What soft synths you use? Cause that's some damn good bass you got there.

Koriigahn responds:

I used 3xOSC for the basses :)

Not bad.

There's a small misstep here and there, and you definitely need a new mic, but the actual song isn't bad at all. Pretty good man!

ChineseBoar1995 responds:

Yeah. I'm working on it.

Yes, you do.

THis song is damn good, I love the moody, atmospheric synths you used, and the whole song had a great feel to it, but you DO need new drums.

The ones you're using here sound really compressed and electronic, which is not what you want for DnB. Your best bet to get better samples would be to use recordings of actual drum kits , and not individual hits, but full beats to put in a slicer. DnBwiki has some really good stuff, and there's always that nice sample pack put together by NG's own Koriigahn.

Kazmo responds:

I'm glad you like it, but usually when you like a song, you increase it's score...lol

I KNOW I need DnB samples, I'm more of a trance artist.

Thanks for the pointers though.

PS: I have Korii on MSN :3

Well goddamn.

First 10 I've given out on NG.

You win.

Everything is perfect. It's better than the original by a long shot, more mature sounding. AND IT DOESN'T USE THAT DAMN OVERUSED PROGERESSION!

Seriously, this is fucking sublime.

Karco responds:

I'm flattered. :) Thanks, glad you liked it!

Nice.

Sick as hell, man. It doesn't quite have the awesome impact that Kazmo's track did, but it's still pretty badass on its own.
Also, you should try playing around with your limiters and compressors. If used subtly enough, you can greatly increase the volume of your track without much or any impact to the sound fidelity. It takes quite a long time to get them just in that sweet spot, but with a little tinkering this song could be near perfect.

St0rmChaser responds:

Thanks heaps man :D
(im having a deja-vu feeling xD)

I like this.

Nice and smooth, really professional sounding production, and enough variety to keep it from sounding boring. No real criticism here, I like it.

DJ-NOSEBLEED responds:

Again, thanks for the support.
Also, penus

Holy fuck!

That kick is the coolest thing I've ever heard. I am seriously in awe of it. The song has an undeniable energy about it.

It seemed like the piano melody diddn't really fit with the kick though... This might have been better as a more rhythmic track in my opinion. The saw part was cool though.

Still sick as hell though, so damn much energy.

PS: It's a bit inconsequential, but I just finished a track using 3xosc and some random kick samples to make a gabber style kick. Check it out if you feel like it.

Nav responds:

Thanks for the review! I'll take a look later, if I have time! :)

Shit.

Why haven't I heard of you? This is damn awesome!

Props for this man. My only criticism is that your bass might be a little TOO much... It's sick and all, but it's taking away from the beat of the song.

Still damn sick tho.

ZOMGBIE responds:

Well, I've been here for about a year kinda wondering why no one is listening to my music. But it's okay, I don't think this is my venue anyway. And yeah I guess I overdid it on the bass, but it sounds so cool on my subwoofer. Thanks for the review though.

I makes the songs.
