I like this.

Nice and smooth, really professional sounding production, and enough variety to keep it from sounding boring. No real criticism here, I like it.

DJ-NOSEBLEED responds:

Again, thanks for the support.

Holy fuck!

That kick is the coolest thing I've ever heard. I am seriously in awe of it. The song has an undeniable energy about it.

It seemed like the piano melody diddn't really fit with the kick though... This might have been better as a more rhythmic track in my opinion. The saw part was cool though.

Still sick as hell though, so damn much energy.

PS: It's a bit inconsequential, but I just finished a track using 3xosc and some random kick samples to make a gabber style kick. Check it out if you feel like it.

Nav responds:

Thanks for the review! I'll take a look later, if I have time! :)

Shit.

Why haven't I heard of you? This is damn awesome!

Props for this man. My only criticism is that your bass might be a little TOO much... It's sick and all, but it's taking away from the beat of the song.

Still damn sick tho.

ZOMGBIE responds:

Well, I've been here for about a year kinda wondering why no one is listening to my music. But it's okay, I don't think this is my venue anyway. And yeah I guess I overdid it on the bass, but it sounds so cool on my subwoofer. Thanks for the review though.

Drums.

First, let me say that this song shows some definite potential, and there are parts that are damn awesome, but...

I'd really advise not to use more trance/club oriented samples in a DnB song. Instead you'd be better off with some old recordings and a slicer. I'd take some drumbeat I liked and slice it up, then layer punchier kick samples on top of that.

Also, I think you need to lower the lead synth and the bass in the mix a bit, as they're drowning out the drums a little bit and taking away some of the impact of the song.

Otherwise, it isn't a bad effort, and with a little mastering and some different drum samples you could have something really interesting on your hands.

Fredgy responds:

Ok, thanks for the review man :) ;-)
I'll take a look at another Drumpad to take in this, but I was looking, found one, but i needed to register myself, and it didn't work, i had always a fould that i couldn't register,
oh, and that 'bout the synth & bass, that wasn't really when i was playing it in Fl and in windows media player =S
but I'll put it down a bit! ;-)

Thanks for review, + great advise! ;-)

I like what's here

Well, as you said it isn't finished, and it isn't mastered yet either, but if you finished this song up, it could be amazing. The intro is really catchy, and the groove of the song is really entertaining.

What can I say?

I liked it before, and I like it now. Good job man, and I don't even like hardstyle!

DomesticTerrorist responds:

:D thanks! I tried to fix it up the best I could haha.

Awesome melody.

I really like your melody, and the kick is pretty damn heavy too. The production was nice and clean, it just took a while to really get going. Not bad at all tho. What synth do you use, it sounds almost like a a z3ta+ on the Commercial trance patch, but a little less phat and cleaner, I like it. Add some more diversity and length and you have an impressive piece of music.

Overall pretty damn cool.

DomesticTerrorist responds:

Thanks! The lead is 3 different edited z3ta presets from various packs layered on top of eachother haha. The bass is another edited z3ta preset layered with one of my custom samples I loaded into the FL soundfont player. I'm glad you liked the production, but the truth is, I haven't even touched the drums or the master channel! haha.

Thanks for the review, and I also plan to add in more kick hits in the final version.

Cool drums.

Really, those drums are pretty damn cool sounding. Real glitchy and diverse. You obviously diddn't just loop one pattern, which is really cool to hear.

Not much else to say really, add a nice phat bass and you have a damn near perfect cover.

kevindurante responds:

Thanks, I don't think I'm doing any more edits on this, I'm going to go and start creating my own songs with this style and try to develop my own style. I will definitely add bass in upcoming songs though =]
Thanks for the input!

DAMN!

This is why all DJs should learn to produce DnB before any other genre! Maybe it's just my personal preference, but the saturation and agression you capture in this song without being cheesy like 99% of dance is awesome. Kudos to you man!

My only criticism is that the lead synth lacks a bit of depth. It just seems a bit simplistic compared to the organic depth of the rest of the song. I don't know what engine you're using, but it sounds like a 3xosc, and if that's the case maybe throwing some subtle LFO filters or phasers would help. It's good now, it just doesn't have that organic feel of a lot of the rest of this song. Once again however, this is merely my personal preference.

Koriigahn responds:

Hehe, thankyou for the review! :)

And i really do agree with you about the Synth, it really needs beasting up a bit... But bearing in mind my CPU was getting raped at that point, i decided to call it a day! :)

Thanks man! :)

NOt too shabby.

For a first song it's not that bad at all. The bass is a little annoying, but that beat is really cool sounding, and it's certainly got a distinct feel to it. Keep it up and you'll get better.

TheDylanGod responds:

well thank you very much! I'm going to keep it up for sure. This stuff is fun :)

I makes the songs.
